Robin Williams arrives at UMUC after more than forty years in the classroom. From the Navajo reservation to Cambridge University, and from Puerto Rica to aircraft carriers in the Pacific and the Gulf, Robin has inspired students the world over. He specializes in mathematics, physics, meteorology and oceanography and holds a PhD in the latter from Scripps Institution of Oceanography, University of California, San Diego.
Recently Robin taught mathematics and physical science for UMUC at bases in Jordan and Qatar and is now teaching those subjects for UMUC in Okinawa. He has twice worked as a contractor for NASA and is a cowriter/editor of Our Changing Planet: A View from Space (Cambridge UP), an essential reading on the causes and consequences of environmental change.
